Wim Van Mechelen first encountered RIKA seventeen years ago as a sales representative in Antwerp and Limburg – and was instantly fascinated. The stoves combined quality, comfort, and technical sophistication in a unique way – a combination he hadn’t found with any other brand until then. 'From my very first visits to the showrooms, it was clear to me: RIKA plays in a league of its own,' he recalls.
In 2015, when Wim and his brother Stijn decided to start a stove business together, it was immediately clear to both of them: RIKA would be the heart of their company. "Energie & Warmtetechniek" was born in a lovingly renovated farmhouse in the Kempen region – a stylish showroom with an adjoining warehouse, fully dedicated to sustainable energy solutions, with RIKA as an essential component.
The brothers combine their passion for technology and ecology with a personal, customer-focused approach. In addition to selling and professionally installing RIKA stoves, they offer comprehensive energy concepts – from photovoltaic systems and battery storage to charging stations, ventilation systems, and climate control units. While Wim focuses on consultation and sales, Stijn handles the installations with the utmost precision and care. They are supported by a well-coordinated team that shares their grounded and straightforward way of working.
Since last year, the showroom has been located in the light-filled lower level of Wim’s home – an architectural highlight that channels daylight into the interior through clever interventions, perfectly showcasing the industrial design. The atmosphere mirrors RIKA’s design philosophy: robust, stylish, and functional. Wim welcomes his clients by appointment only – ensuring personalized consultations in a private and relaxed setting.
